Common Questions

How do I import a video?

Tap the video-import button and choose a video using Apple’s system Photos picker. VHS FX Studio processes the selected video locally on your device.

How do I make the preview larger?

Use the expand control on the video preview to open the larger preview. The preview also changes to match the aspect ratio selected for export.

Does the preview loop?

Yes. Imported videos continuously loop while you adjust presets and effect sliders.

Which aspect ratios are supported?

You can preserve the original video shape or choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 4:5, or 2.39:1. Fit preserves the whole image; Fill crops the edges to cover the selected frame.

Where does an exported video go?

After export completes, VHS FX Studio saves the finished video directly to your Photos library. Add-only Photos permission is required to save the result.

Why did an export fail?

Confirm that the device has enough free storage, Photos access is allowed, and the source video is still available. 4K and 60 fps exports require more processing time and storage than lower settings.

Does VHS FX Studio upload my videos?

No. The current version performs video processing locally and does not upload selected videos to an Origin 51 LLC server.

Is production credit required?

The current Terms of Service require attribution for commercial or production use. Review the Terms of Service for the exact language and waiver instructions.
